Catalina Radio
After five years of blood, sweat, and tears we were still at least three years
away from Worthwhile Catalina Radio becoming a reality. Unending govern-
ment licensing delays compounded by unreasoning local opposition in
Catalina did us in. The founders are faced with advancing years and declining
health and could no longer see this project through to completion.
In consultation with our major donors (thank you!), all funds have been
distributed to other local charities such as Catalina Community Services.
Some good has come of the project.
The torch is now passed. Perhaps some day another group will resume the
effort to help bring better communication and a sense of community to the
greater Catalina area.
We're leaving the entertainment parts of the web site here as a taste of "what
might have been." Farewell.
