How SnS Got Started
Early in 2008 we began negotiations with Western Broadband for the use
of Channel 2 in SaddleBrooke and SadddleBrooke Ranch. The contract
was signed in June and we were on the air in September.
Many of our first volunteers were already active with Catalina Radio
(sponsored by Catalina Community Services) . It soon became clear it
would make sense for SaddleBrooke TV and Catalina Radio to cooperate
and share volunteers, equipment, and facilities. That led to the formation
of Sights 'n Sounds to provide news, information, education, and enter-
tainment to the greater SaddleBrooke community via both cable TV and
radio (hence the "sights" and "sounds" of SaddleBrooke).
